Join us for a special Qigong workshop exploring the Yellow Emperor’s Meridian Stretch Exercises, a classical 12-part stretch set designed to gently open, balance, and regulate the body’s primary meridian system.
Rooted in the earliest foundations of Chinese medicine, this practice is attributed to the Yellow Emperor (Huang Di)—the legendary figure behind The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic. His teachings emphasize harmony between movement, breath, energy, and seasonal living, principles that remain deeply relevant today.
What Are Meridian Stretch Exercises?
This 12-part set uses slow, mindful stretches combined with breath and awareness to support healthy Qi flow through the organs, muscles, fascia, and nervous system. A closely related version is also found in the Japanese Makko Ho (“Bowing” or “Look Straight Ahead”) exercises, highlighting the timeless and cross-cultural value of meridian stretching.
