Your community has a lot to offer, and so do you.
Leadership is by example. Get the opportunity for your family to join the instructors for community outings. They will help you reinforce the value of getting involved. From supporting charities to marching in parades, your instructors will leave the dojo behind and demonstrate their commitment to the community that supports their school. Community Connection events will fall into one of four main categories:
Charitable
These events are the backbone of the program and involve instilling the importance of doing our part to help those in need.
Educational
Reinforce the importance of education outside of school or work.
Some of these events will allow participants to get to know their community, while others will encourage personal growth and development.
Social
The social events give everyone a chance to meet all the members they do not see in their class. We encourage family participation, and have seen many new friendships form from these social outings.
Demonstration
We give our students several opportunities throughout the year to demonstrate their skills to the public. These events are a great opportunity to receive positive reinforcement from an enthusiastic crowd.
